Long-Lost Besties Reunite After Twelve Years

During a dinner cruise in Honolulu in 2006 Brianna and Heidi met each other and became best friends. And even though their friendship didn't last that long, Brianna never forgot her bestie. Twelve years later she tried to find Heidi with the help of Twitter.

"I don’t think there were many kids our age on this particular dinner cruise, so I guess we just found each other and stuck together the whole time," Brianna told BuzzFeed. "The other night I was going through old scrapbooks and watching vacation videos, and I saw her. So I was like; Wow, let’s see if Twitter can find her for me..." Brianna, now nineteen years old, wondered how her former best friend was doing.

'The internet is so amazing'

Social media
In less than twelve hours Brianna got in touch with Heidi. She was surprised by the effectiveness of her online search. "I honestly thought it would take at least a week to find her. The internet is so amazing and showed me that it really is a small world after all."

The pair hasn't met up in real-life yet since they attend college on two different sides of the country, but through social media, the two girls have been telling each other about their lives. Brianna: "We do plan to meet again once we get our funds together!"
