PRAY: Texas Mom Forcing 6-Year-Old Son To Live As A Girl, Courts Blocking Dad From Defending Him

A tragically bizarre scene is unfolding that demands our urgent prayers. James Younger, a six-year-old Texas boy, is being dressed and presented as a girl named Luna by his mother, with the full support of the family court system. When living with his Christian dad, Jeffrey, however, James insists that he is, and wants to be, a boy.

James’ mother has changed his name to Luna, dresses him in girls clothing, shoes, and makeup, and has him use the girls’ restroom at school. Younger is even prohibited from cutting his sons’ hair, having been previously reported by a teacher to Texas Child Protective Services for giving James a haircut.

In a stunning show of overreach, a family court judge has issued an order prohibiting Jeffrey Younger from affirming in any way his son’s biological sex, including sharing basic Christian teaching on gender and sexuality with him.

James' mother, Anne Georgulas, has charged Younger, her ex-husband, with child abuse for not affirming their son as a transgender “girl,” according to LifeSiteNews.

Georgulas is also attempting to terminate Younger's parental rights, compel him to pay for James' therapist visits and medical procedures to "transition" him, and has also sought restraining orders against Younger. Since such treatments are considered child support in Texas, Younger could be “forced to pay for the sexual mutilation of his own son,” according to SaveJames.com.

James' “treatment” could begin as early as two years from now when he turns eight, and would include hormonal sterilization in preparation “sexual reassignment” surgery later on.

The court has awarded Georgulas the sole right to consent to psychiatric and psychological treatment of James and his twin brother Jude, leaving Younger unable to even seek a second medical opinion for his son's dubious gender dysphoria diagnosis originally given by a "gender transition therapist".

Walt Heyer, a former-transgender-turned-advocate people living with sex change regret, noted in an article for The Federalist that James does not truly fit the criteria for the condition, which involves a mental conflict between a person’s biological sex and their perceived gender. For gender dysphoria to be diagnosed in a child, the child must be persistent, consistent, and insistent about being the opposite of their biological sex, something James simply does not do during time spent anywhere but with his mother.

“The fact that James changes gender identity depending on which parent is present makes the diagnosis of gender dysphoria both dubious and harmful,” Heyer said, noting that James willingly chooses to live as a boy whenever he is with his father.

Dr. Michelle Cretella, Executive Director of the American College of Pediatricians, added her expertise and insight to the case, arguing that “James clearly does not have gender dysphoria."

“According to the pro-transgender pediatricians themselves, a child is allegedly ‘trans’ if he consistently and persistently insists he is a girl,” she added. “Well, when James is away from his mother, he consistently and persistently insists that he is a boy.”

“James exhibits no desire to be ‘Luna’ the girl except when he is with his mother,” Heyer said in his article. “The boy’s behavior offers a stinging rebuke of the diagnosis of gender dysphoria.”

“This by all accounts is not a true or clinically correct diagnosis of gender dysphoria,” he continued. “Yet the therapist stands by her diagnosis and continues to keep ‘Luna’ on track to gender transition.”

“James['s] precious young life hinges purely on the diagnosis of gender dysphoria by a therapist who wraps herself in rainbow colors, affirms the diagnosis of gender dysphoria, and dismisses evidence to the contrary,” Heyer added. “Remove the ‘rainbow’ from James[’s] diagnosis, and it crumbles under the weight of the criteria for the diagnosis of gender dysphoria.”

“What is happening to poor James is a testament to how politicized and anti-science pediatrics has become regarding gender identity formation in children,” said Cretella.

“The diagnosis is critical,” Heyer concluded, “because labeling a child with gender dysphoria can trigger a series of physical and mental consequences for the child and has legal ramifications in the ongoing custody case. Get it wrong and young James’s life is irrevocably harmed.”

The family friends behind the Save James website have kept a blog on the case, providing a timeline of the case, court documents, prayers, research, gender ideology resources. Given that James' mother has support and financial backing, not to mention the court on her side, Younger is on his own with limited resources, and the site is one of his only sources for support in this battle.
