Trump: Immigration Matter Is 'A Crisis Of The Heart, A Crisis Of The Soul'

President Donald Trump says the security and humanitarian problems along the US southern border have reached "crisis" proportions.

In a prime-time televised address Trump said that all Americans are being affected by the uncontrolled illegal migration because it is driving down jobs and wages. In the video Trump also said that "the southern border was a pipeline for a vast quantity of illegal drugs, including meth, cocaine, and fentanyl".

This drug problem is costing the US $500 billion a year. Trump also says that "women and children are the biggest victims by far of our broken system." He is also addressing the Democrats by saying that they have refused to acknowledge the border crisis. They also are the reason as to why the government remains closed. Trump however also believes a compromise could be made with Democrats and will have a meeting with them on wednesday.

President Trump is planning to visit the Mexican border on Thursday in order to increase the pressure on congerssional Democrats and reopen the government.
