This Woman Was Literally Saved From A Stray Bullet By The Word Of God

Constance Effie, a 70-year-old resident of Kansas City, was very literally saved by the word of God when a stray bullet was stopped by a framed art piece featuring the Lord's Prayer.

“All of a sudden ‘boom.’ I thought I was in a war zone because that was the loudest noise I ever heard,” Effie recalled to Fox4KC. Effie and her husband were filled with terror upon realizing that the "boom" she'd heard was gunfire directed at her house, but her fears were erased upon the realization that God had his hand on them.

The bullet had hit the framed copy of Matthew 6:10-13 and shattered the glass, but the metal artwork stopped the bullet on the spot

“We looked all around and didn’t see a hole anywhere. I thought, ‘Look, that picture, the glass is all broken,'” Effie said. “It hit [the picture] and fell down behind [the couch]. But if it didn’t have the metal, it probably would’ve come on in and hit one of us.”

Effie also suffered a mild stress-induced heart attack because of the frightening incident and was hospitalized shortly thereafter.

“I was afraid... I kept thinking I don’t want any more shooting,” Effie said, remarking that she has been hearing shots ring out in her neighborhood more and more frequently.

“We just hope and pray they understand not to do this anymore,” she added, thankful that she was lucky to be alive.
