Robert Jeffress Offers A Short, Sweet Response To Mueller Report Findings
Robert Jeffress, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Dallas and an ardent supporter of President Donald Trump, offered his curt commentary on the findings of the investigation by DOJ Special Counsel Robert Mueller into alleged Russian collusion in the 2016 presidential election.
“NOT. GUILTY. MOVE. ON!” Jeffress tweeted on Sunday, garnering a flood of likes and retweets.
Back in July 2018, Jeffress called for the Mueller investigation to come to a halt, contending that it was causing “the controversy over the election to linger, the partisan vitriol to increase, and the fractures in our society to widen.”
“Yes, the president or Congress will be criticized for ending the investigation," Jeffress said in July, "but like lancing a boil, short-term pain is necessary for long-term healing."
