The Media 'Destroyed' Trump For 2 Years, Crushed Their Own Credibility, And Is Still Refusing To Back Down

Attorney General Bill Barr's four-page summary of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report has been rejected by many journalists in the mainstream media, reported CBN. Most of the journalists remain in denial that Mueller's team found no evidence of collusion with Russia after spending the last two years insisting that President Trump and/or his team or campaign colluded with Russia.

"I am outraged by the behavior of these networks"

John Solomon, executive vice president at The Hill, told CBN News, "I think all the credibility and all of the public trust that the industry gained from Watergate 50 years ago was eroded by this. When you tell the American people there's a scandal and you don't have the goods and you're pontificating about it when it's not really there factually, you've really wounded the industry and I think all of that allure that we gained as an industry after Watergate, it's been really tarnished by this story."

The Media Research Center sees no signs of penitence from the media, reported NewsBusters.

"MRC analysts looked at the past 24 hours of CNN coverage (from 5:00 p.m. Eastern on March 24 to the same time the following day), and found a total of 120 instances in which hosts or other journalists asserted that President Trump had not been exonerated. Those 120 cases did not include quotes from Democratic politicians or other explicitly partisan sources," according to the website.

NewsBusters has also pointed to an exchange between Trump attorney Rudolph Giuliani and CNN's Chris Cuomo on the cable network's Cuomo Prime Time telecast from March 25. In the video clip, Giuliani calls out CNN for the network's apparent overreach on the collusion story.

"You guys on this network have tortured this man for two years with collusion and nobody's apologized for it! So, before we talk about obstruction, apologize for the overreaction to collusion!" Giuliani demanded.

"Not a chance. Not a chance. Not a chance," Cuomo replied.

"Of course you're not. You're not being fair," Giuliani said.

"No, please. You don't believe that or you wouldn't be here," Cuomo responded.

"I am outraged by the behavior of these networks," Giuliani interjects. "Collusion. Collusion. Collusion. Collusion. Collusion. Collusion. No collusion. Apologize."

"Never," Cuomo said.
