New Horror Movie ‘Us,’ Helps a Bible Verse To Be One of the Top Google Searches Of The Week

Relevant Magazine reports on the new movie "Us" produced by Jordan Peele who also made the movie "get out" that it has raised many questions and awareness around one particular bible verse. Without spoiling too much of the plot of the movie we can say the movie refers to the Bible verse, Jeremiah 11:11 "Therefore this is what the Lord says: 'I will bring on them a disaster they cannot escape. Although they cry out to me, I will not listen to them" and the google searches are off the charts.

The movie tells the story of Adelaide who with her by her husband, son and daughter, returns to the beachfront home where she grew up as a child. Haunted by a traumatic experience from the past, Adelaide grows increasingly concerned that something bad is going to happen. Her worst fears soon become a reality when four masked strangers descend upon the house, forcing the Wilsons into a fight for survival. When the masks come off, the family is horrified to learn that each attacker takes the appearance of one of them.

The horror movie is very intricate and we can't reveal too much, but it's very obvious that many others felt the same way. Jeremiah 11:11 hit the 12th spot on Google Trends on the movie’s opening night, with over 200,000 searches. Check out your nearest theater to see the connection for yourself!
