Hillary Clinton: "Parable Of The Prodigal Son Became A Lifeline For Me"
Hillary Clinton alluded to her past public scandals as she revealed this week that the parable of the prodigal son has helped her through difficult times. It became her "lifeline," she said during the CNN event on Wednesday at the Democratic town hall with Bernie Sanders in Derry, New Hampshire.
Clinton asked by a rabbi at the Derry event about how she dealt with difficulties in her life. "Everybody knows I have lived a very public life for the last 25 or so years," Clinton said in response, she said according to The Washington Post. "I've had to be in public, dealing with some very difficult issues." Then she spoke on the parable of the prodigal son: "I read that parable. . . . That just became a lifeline for me," she said.
"It basically is, "Practice the discipline of gratitude. Be grateful for your limitations, know that you have to reach out to have more people be with you to support to advise you. Listen to your critics, answer the questions, but at the end, be grateful."
African American “pastors” recently laid hands on Clinton, last week in Philadelphia, to “decree and declare the favor of the Lord” on her for the presidency, reports ChristianNews. The pastors prayed: “Until He comes again, Secretary Clinton and President-to-be Clinton, we decree and declare from the crown of your head to the soles of your feet that the favor of the Lord will surround you like a shield, in Jesus’ name.”
