Feeling Let Down? Here Are 8 Encouraging Bible Verses

Ever had someone let you down? It can be an intensely painful thing. We can feel discouraged, betrayed and neglected. But God never lets us down. He is our ever-present Father who cares for us and loves us through the entirety of our lives. If you are feeling discouraged today, read these 8 verses to remind yourself of the truth of God's faithfulness.

1. Nahum 1:7 - "The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him."

2. Psalm 55:22  - "Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken."

3. Psalm 34:8-9 - "Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. Fear the Lord, you his holy people, for those who fear him lack nothing."

4. 1 Peter 5:7 - "Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully."

5. Deuteronomy 31:6 - “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."

6. Isaiah 41:10 - "Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."

7. Psalm 91:14-16 - "'Because he loves me,' says the Lord, 'I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.'"

8. Revelation 21:3-4 – "And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, 'Look! God's dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 'He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.'"
