Trump To Employ Long List Of Christian Advisers

President-elect Donald Trump has shown himself to be very keen on having believers in government. Most of his cabinet is made up of devout Christians. But he will also have independent advisers, many of whom he has already appointed. And guess what, a lot of them are Christians!

So who are these individuals? Well, there are a few well-known characters. James Dobson, Jerry Falwell, Jr, Ralph Reed, founder of the Faith and Freedom Coalition, Franklin Graham, and Michele Bachmann. But then there are a few more unfamiliar names that Trump seeks to take advice from.

James Arlandson at American Thinker highlights a few of Trump's key choices.

1. James Robison, founder of LIFE Outreach International.
Who he is: Robison grew up living with his mother in extreme poverty. He ended up founding LIFE Outreach International, which provides for the homeless and needy. Robison is also an active evangelist and co-hosts LIFE Today, a daily television program.

"His evangelical ties: On his television show, Robison has hosted prominent evangelicals such as Beth Moore, Steven Curtis Chapman, Tony Evans, Robert Jeffress, Philip Yancey, Ravi Zacharias, and Max Lucado," writes Arlandson.

2. Robert Morris, an author and Texas megachurch pastor.
Who he is: Morris is the founding pastor at the massive Gateway Church in Texas, where singer-songwriter Kari Jobe is the worship pastor. Morris is also a prolific author, having written 14 books.

His evangelical ties: Morris a board member at The King’s University, and oversees Brady Boyd’s New Life Church in Colorado Springs.

"Gateway Church created the Vote Under God website in 2016, which encourages Christians to vote. Gateway is aiming for 100 percent voter participation among its 36,000 members this fall. Morris identifies the definition of marriage, the right to life, government vs. private health care, the national debt, and religious freedoms as key issues," writes Arlandson.

3. A.R. Bernard, New York mega-church pastor.
Who he is: Bernard is the lead pastor at the Christian Cultural Center, a megachurch in Brooklyn, New York. He is also the president of the New York City’s Council of Churches. A born-again banker, Bernard left the finance industry and went into ministry in the late 1970s. His church, was renamed the Christian Cultural Center in 2000, and has around 30,000 members.

"Once a spiritual seeker and member of the Nation of Islam, Bernard went on to criticize its theology, but continues to focus on issues faced by African Americans and Hispanics in the inner city. (Bernard himself is Panamanian-American.) He recently released a relationship book called Four Things Women Want from a Man," writes Arlandson.

The list of Christians who will be at Trump's side in the White House stretches far beyond this brief list! It is so encouraging that the new president will be surrounded by such faithful believers as he seeks to steer this great nation towards a bright future!
