Trump's Attorney General Jeff Sessions: Roe v. Wade "The Worst Supreme Court Decision” Ever
Jan 11, 2017
President-elect Trump has been appointing key positions in his new administration. The latest to get the nod is pro-life senator Jeff Sessions, who is very likely to become the new Attorney General, reports Life News. A fierce advocate for the rights of the unborn, Sessions has a 100% voting record on the issue. Currently, a group of Black pastors are rallying in Washington for Sessions' official signing in as Attorney General, amidst accusations of racism.
“There is an attempt by some to demonize people and call them racist when there is actually no proof for it,” Evangelical Bishop Harry Jackson said at a Capitol Hill news conference. “Let me say clearly, Sen. Sessions is not a racist.” Jackson, the pastor of Hope Christian Church in Beltsville, Md., said Sessions “worked to bankrupt the KKK in Alabama with a $7 million judgment,” and helped to desegregate the state’s public school system.
Sessions has previously stated some firm views of the Roe v. Wade supreme court decision. “I firmly believe that Roe v. Wade and its descendants represent one of the worse, colossally erroneous Supreme Court decisions of all time. It was an activist decision…it was a Court that decided to politically impose their will," he said. “Good law should prevail,” the Senator noted. “Our policies in this country as a nation should focus on life, should focus on decency, and focus on love for even the least of these.”
During his questioning over his views as he gears up to take office, pro-abortion Senator Dianne Feinstein ashed Senator sessions if you still felt that way and he replied in the affirmative.
“You have referred to Roe v. Wade as, quote, one of the worst, colossally erroneous Supreme Court decisions of all time, end quote,” Feinstein said. “Is that still your view?”
“It is,” Sessions replied. “It violated the Constitution, and really attempted to set policy and not follow law.”
