Are you living in a Christian bubble? Do all of your friends think the same, look the same and act the same? It’s so easy to find ourselves only surrounded by people like us. Its human nature, really, to cling to the people who are like you. But the truth is that this is not how Jesus lived His life! He wasn’t stuck in a Christian bubble, hanging out with people who followed the law perfectly. Not at all! Jesus loved sinners so well that the religious leaders began to see him as a drunkard and sinner! Will you go that far outside of your box?

We need to follow Jesus’ lead and not be afraid to hang around people whose lifestyles are different from our own. It’s important that even in this, our motivation is supernatural love for the children of God, embracing them without an agenda. Check out this week’s Flashback Friday video for more:

So are you ready to burst the Christian bubble you’re living in? I want to encourage you to ask God for His eyes to see His children the way He does; loving them simply because they’re made in His image. Regardless of whether we like them, agree with their political values, or are offended by them, we must put aside religion for the sake of discipling nations.

Today I pray that this truth and conviction would not just be a principle, but that it would be a supernatural change in your heart! I pray that God would come into your mind and supernaturally change the way you think about and see people who are living in sin. I release grace over you right now to be in situations that stretch you. I release peace, wisdom and a hunger for righteousness over your spirit. I pray that this would start with a fresh encounter with God’s love in your own life, and that the passion God has for you would transcend into passion for His people.
