Aaron Hernandez Wrote John 3:16 Across His Forehead Before He Hung Himself

Apr 20, 2017 by Will Maule

Former Patriots star and convicted murderer Aaron Hernandez has died after committing suicide in his Massachusetts prison cell. Hernandez was discovered hanging from a window bar, with 'John 3:16' written across his forehead, according to The Daily Mail. Reportedly, the former football star also had a Bible open to the famous passage.

Fellow inmates report that Hernandez was high on a drug called K2, otherwise known as 'spice.' The former Patriots' tight end was just cleared of a double murder, having been convicted of the slaying of Odin Lloyd, a semi-professional football player who was dating the sister of Hernandez's finance.

Hernandez's shock suicide came on the same day his former teammates were honored at the White House for their recent Super Bowl win. Starman Tom Brady did not attend the ceremony, citing "family matters." "On April 19, 2017 Aaron Hernandez was discovered hanged in his cell by corrections officers at the Souza Baranowski Correctional Center in Shirley Massachusetts at approximately 3:05am," assistant deputy commissioner of communications Christopher Fallon said

"Lifesaving techniques were attempted on Mr Hernandez and he was transported to UMASS Leominster where he was pronounced dead at 4:07am by a physician at the hospital."

"Former NFL player Aaron Hernandez was found hanged in his prison cell this morning after being acquitted of a double murder charge. He was currently serving a life sentence with no chance of parole for another murder that he had been found guilty of. Pray for the victims’ families, and for his four-year-old daughter," wrote Franklin Graham on Facebook.

"Aaron’s story is a reminder to all of us of how quickly we can do something that could alter our lives forever. Sin has serious consequences. We have all been found guilty of sin in our lives, and sin has an eternal penalty—death."

"But God has granted us a full pardon from our death sentence, available only by faith in His Son Jesus Christ. Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved—forgiven, with the hope of heaven. My question to you on Facebook is--Do you know Jesus Christ as your Savior? Have you invited him into your heart?"
