Republican senator Marco Rubio has responded to the criticism he received for posting Bible verses on twitter. "GOP Senator @marcorubio is tweeting out Bible verses this morning, and it's...unsettling," one person tweeted following his reference to the gospel of John. Another pundit called the quotes “oddly terrifying” whilst someone else suggested Rubio had “lost it."
What does Rubio think about this? “If people don’t like the Bible and they don’t like the Gospel, they don’t have to follow me on Twitter, I suppose," he told Fox and Friends. "Twitter’s a voluntary thing. If you don’t like it, don’t read it. Or unsubscribe from my Twitter feed."
“There was no hidden message behind it,” Rubio said. “It’s just the Gospel.”
