Glen Campbell Remembered For Worshipping Jesus Through Battle With Alzheimer's

Aug 11, 2017 by Will Maule

Country legend Glen Campbell has been remembered for worshipping the Lord throughout his battle with Alzheimer's disease. Campbell passed away on Tuesday, at the age of 81. Towards the end of his life, Campbell has no recollection of his golden days as a rock star, but would occasionally strum on his guitar and even praise the Lord in his latter years.

"I love singing gospel music and hymns. Being a Christian, I love to tell people about Christ and what He's done for me and can do for them," he told Cross Rhythms back in 1990.

"I've seen him walk over to the window and he'll raise up his hands and say 'Thank you Lord,'" wife Kim told Breathecast in 2014. "Even the [Alzheimer's care facility] workers tell me about how thankful he is to God all the daylong."
