Kentucky 'Jesus Rally' Stirs Christians To Call On God For US Revival
With the nation at a crossroads of division, a massive rally of Christians has come together in Kentucky to pray for healing and revival across the United States. “This is about us owning the mandate of the love of God that we say we carry,” evangelist Brittany Buchanan Douglas said Saturday, before she took the stage at Jesus Rally 2017.
Described as “a call to unity through prayer," the rally took place from 2 to 8 p.m and sought to unite Christians in prayer for the nation, according to Kentucky.com. Douglas referenced 2 Chronicles 7:14, a passage that Vice President Mike Pence has cited on many occasions as the healing balm to America's woes.
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land,” the verse reads.
“That’s for us to fix,” Douglas said. “We have to acknowledge the call to repent.”
“We were created by God to have relationship with him,” she said. “The fulfilling of that relationship … is in a relationship with Jesus Christ. That’s what our country needs.”
