Caribbean Churches Absolutely Devastated By Hurricane Irma

Hurricane Irma may not have wreaked the havoc expected on mainland Florida, but in the Caribbean, it was a different story. Some of the buildings that were badly affected were the Churches located on the island of Anguilla. Residents there have compared the devastation that which would be caused by a nuclear bomb.

"The island looks as if had been struck by a nuclear bomb," Emerson Boyce, secretary general of the Evangelical Association of the Caribbean told CBN News. Shockingly, Boyce says on some islands, 80 to 90 percent of the buildings were completely destroyed by the hurricane.

"As a result of this, we are still seeking and trying to establish communication," he says. "We are not getting through by internet or telephone."

Check out some of the footage and aftermath on the island.
